I say “let it burn” a lot in my classes. And physically, it’s definitely easy to feel that sensation as our bodies work up a sweat. But on a deeper level, I think we also need to turn up the heat on our desires, imagine the strong, sexy body of our dreams, and have faith in our own power to create change. That’s the combination that makes it possible to crush the goals we set for ourselves.
Know your desires. It sounds so simple to say, yet I find this is often the hardest part for many of us to do. But here’s the truth: Getting what we want begins with knowing what we want. Take some time to really think about your goals for yourself. Do you want to improve your physical and mental health? Do you want to have more strength and energy? Do you want to feel more confident in your body? Think of your answer as the spark that ignites the fire that lights the way!
Picture your success.
There is something almost magical about envisioning what manifesting our desires looks and feels like. It allows us to drop a pin on a destination, so that we can begin charting a path forward and creating an inner dialogue that supports us on our journey. This isn’t about thinking. It’s about “seeing.” A mental picture is worth a thousand words. Close your eyes and dare to imagine your own success. Then, revisit that image as often as you can. Before you know it, you’ll be able to see it in the mirror with your eyes open!
Believe in your potential. Our bodies are powerful. What we often underappreciate is that our minds are powerful, too! So much of what we are able to accomplish is directly related to what we perceive our possibilities and limitations to be. I believe that where we focus, energy follows. When our minds are confident, our bodies rise to the occasion. We simply need to trust in our physical abilities and focus on our goals. I know for certain that you can achieve amazing things. It’s time to believe in yourself as much as I believe in you!
