Committing to a new fitness goal – or getting back into one – is often the biggest hurdle between where we are and where we want to be. Once we get going, of course, momentum kicks in and motivation increases. But it sure is easy to succumb to self-sabotage before ever getting started.
Perhaps you don’t have much free time… a gym membership… or even an exercise plan. Then again, maybe those challenges aren’t as big as you think.
I’m a working mom of four. I understand what it’s like to be so busy that putting yourself “on the list” is difficult. I also know that you have to take care of yourself in order to take care of others.
My intention with Brooke Burke Body is to ensure health and fitness are both accessible and achievable, with realistic time commitments, short-term goals, and no equipment requirements.
There is enormous value in being able to be successful – from the start – on the next step of your fitness journey. Join me and let’s take it on together!
XOXO,
Brooke
5 Tips to Freshen Up Your Fitness Routine
Pre-Planned Programs
Whether it’s a short workout or a multi-day/week challenge, it’s surprisingly helpful to get out of your head and focus on “doing.” Having a set timeframe makes it easier to commit to a goal and stay motivated to see it through.
At-Home, Equipment-Free Workouts
In the time it takes you to drive to a gym and back, you can squeeze in a workout at home – in your pajamas. A water bottle or frying pan is a perfect light weight for high-rep arm workouts that strengthen muscles and engage your core.
Bite-Sized Burns
Effectively and efficiently changing your body is possible without overwhelming your already busy schedule, so sweat smart! Compound moves that work multiple body parts together are a great way to get a total-body workout in just 15 minutes.
HIIT Cardio
Unlike old school cardio classes, high-intensity interval training is about pushing as hard as you can, recovering, and then hitting it hard again. These quick but powerful bursts will get your muscles and your heart pumping for fat-blasting cardio benefits.
Active Recovery Yoga
An essential component of mindful fitness is giving your muscles a chance to recover after an intense workout. Stretching and yoga are wonderful ways to practice self-care and support your body’s hard work.
