4th of July BBQ Sassy Sauce

Here’s a mindful take on an American favorite. This sauce is super easy, homemade, and healthy!

 

Ingredients:

  • 10 large ripe tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Braggs Aminos
  • 1/4 chopped jalapeños or Serranos (optional)

 

Directions:

  1. Sauté 5 chopped cloves garlic in 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes & spicy peppers (optional).
  3. Boil, then lower heat & reduce approximately 15 minutes.
  4. Whisk in honey, Braggs, and apple cider vinegar.
  5. Let cool and blend.

I love to use this sauce to marinate chicken or meat. It’s also great to drizzle over burgers or veggies!
