Summer has a way of seducing us with its endless sun and barefoot freedom – beach days, late nights, and a make-it-up-as-you-go itinerary. But as the seasons shift, the light changes, and the air turns crisper, there’s a natural invitation to slow down, re-center, and get intentional again.

September isn’t just for students. It’s a fresh start for all of us. And it’s an ideal reminder to thoughtfully consider what to pack in your bag for the new season.

Instead of school supplies, let’s create personal wellness backpacks filled with tools, rituals, and inspiration that will help us thrive through the months ahead.

Your New-Season Curriculum

It’s time to design your own syllabus for self-care, growth, and joy. Here are some prompts to get you thinking:

  • Teachers & Leaders | Who inspires you, challenges you, and keeps you accountable? These might be your favorite fitness trainers, a mentor, a friend, or even a podcast host who sparks something in you.
  • Assignments | What commitments are you making to yourself? This could be a daily workout, a weekly meal-prep ritual, or 10 minutes of mindful meditation every morning.
  • Reading List | Which books, blogs, or inspiring content will fuel your mind and heart this season? A good place to start is with personal recommendations from people you respect and admire.
  • Uniform | How will you dress for success in your workouts? Maybe it’s investing in a new pair of leggings, a sports bra that makes you feel unstoppable, or sneakers that actually make you want to move.
  • Class Schedule | When is your time on the calendar? Map out your workouts, rest days, and wellness rituals just like non-negotiable classes.

This is the season to put yourself at the top of your to-do list – unapologetically. Just like students prepare for the new school year with focus and intention, we can prepare for a new season of personal growth.
