It seems that doing consumes most of our time and attention. We navigate our seemingly infinite series of tasks, commitments, and experiences on auto-pilot. And before we know it, another day has passed without us pausing long enough to listen.
Our body is always communicating. Our mind is constantly speaking. It may be soft and subtle, but when we quiet ourselves, we allow those inner signals to come through loud and clear. (Meditation is a great way to practice tuning out the white noise and tuning in to our own wisdom.)
It’s important that we listen to what our SELF is telling us.
Once we can recognize our feelings of longing, weakness, fatigue, and hunger, we can begin to pursue, strengthen, rest, and nourish. When we become aware of our feelings of resistance, uncertainty, and low self-esteem, we can establish better boundaries, trust our intuition, and build ourselves up.
Our bodies hear every thought we have… every word we speak… and they believe us. That’s why negative self-talk is literally self-defeating.
If the only thing you do today for yourself is listen to yourself, you will be on a positive path to a better you.
Trust your SELF!
